Welcome to Beamer Athletics!
Federal Way Public Schools believes that activities and athletics are important choices to be offered in a comprehensive and challenging educational experience for all students. For many students, athletic participation is part of a well-rounded education and teaches discipline and persistence–values that transfer into the classroom and fuel academic success.
Todd Beamer Athletics is committed to developing student-athletes through sportsmanship, skill development, and strong character. Our programs provide opportunities for athletes to grow as competitors, teammates, and leaders while creating lifelong memories and having fun along the way.

Participating in Athletics
To participate in athletics, students must:
- Complete athletic registration
- Purchase an ASB membership card*
- Be enrolled and regularly attend school full-time
- Seniors who are on track to graduate may initially enroll in one class less than the minimum number of classes required for other students
- Students enrolled in Running Start must connect with the Athletic Director and complete the Running Start Contract
- Have no outstanding athletic fines
- Maintain a C or better in all classes
Athletics Registration*
All students who wish to participate in any sport, including conditioning, tryouts, open gym, and/or practices, are required to complete athletic registration through FinalForms. Registration must be completed before participating in any activity and requires signatures by both the student and parent/guardian.
During registration, please be prepared to submit the following:
- Sports Physical Form: Exams are valid for 24 months and must not expire during the athlete’s sports season.
- Medical insurance
- Emergency contact information
- Running Start Contract (if applicable)

*Registration is only required once per year. If a student wants to participate in other sports, simply log in to FinalForms, select the additional sport(s), and sign the safety guidelines.
ASB Membership Card*
In addition to completing the forms, students must purchase an ASB (Associated Student Body) membership card to participate in school athletics. The ASB cost in high school is $35 and can be paid directly to Holly Barlow, TBHS Financial Secretary, or through the online payment portal at https://wa-federalway.intouchreceipting.com/.
*(Note that some students may qualify for reduced or waived ASB fees. To check eligibility, complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application.)
Athletics Communication
Communication regarding athletics is sent through FinalForms and ParentSquare.
FinalForms:
FinalForms facilitates athletic registration, providing reminders regarding the registration process. The platform also offers one-way communication from the Athletic Director and coaches regarding grade checks, meetings, and other important information or announcements.
ParentSquare:
Once student-athletes have officially made a team, both athletes and parents will be added to the appropriate ParentSquare group for that sport and season. ParentSquare will then serve as an additional communication platform between coaches, athletes, and families, including practice updates, competition information, and team announcements.
Prior to team selection, all athletic communication will be sent through FinalForms. Families should ensure their contact information in FinalForms is current and monitor FinalForms regularly for preseason updates and information.
