15,059 FWPS scholars participated in this year's Hour of Code, discovering the fundamentals of computer science through interactive challenges.

National Apprenticeship Week is November 17-13, and during this week Federal Way Public Schools is joining many other trades-related organizations to share the benefits of becoming skilled in a trade profession, and how to get started now.

WHAT WE OFFER
CTE PROGRAMS
FWPS offers Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses at select middle schools and all four comprehensive high schools. CTE courses enable scholars in grades 6-12 to explore various fields of interest, connect their learning with the real-world, and gain important skills necessary for life after high school and future careers.
AFJROTC
Todd Beamer High School's incredible AFJROTC program has a mission "to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community."
ATHLETICS
Activities and athletics are important choices to be offered in a comprehensive and challenging educational experience for all scholars. The goals of the activities and athletic program are to teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for fellow competitors, officials, opposing team members, and opposing team fans.
